Engineers with extensive energy and petrochemical plant field experience

Expertise in claims engineering support including complex and large losses

Corporate Engineering Solutions provides accurate, detailed, comprehensive engineering damage assessments of industrial incidents in support of insurers and adjusters. From the detailed damage assessments a determination of repair feasibility vs. the need for replacement can be made based on incident damage. The scope, cost estimate and restoration period schedules are then developed and fully documented with photographs, vendor quotes, and price lists which serve as a solid basis for claim discussions with the insured.

Insurance companies, independent adjusters and law firms find that our field based information, gathered and analyzed by experienced former plant engineers, withstands rigorous review.

Energy Industry
Corporate Engineering Solutions focus is on energy industry process plants such as oil refineries, petrochemical, ethanol, biodiesel, gas processing, and coal production. We have extensive experience with the various types of fixed and rotating equipment in these facilities.

Plant Experienced Personnel
Our engineers have first-hand experience in repairing, refurbishing and replacing equipment as well as with installation of new equipment, gained from working in plant maintenance and other engineering departments. This experience enables them not only to quickly visually assess if any damage to equipment and structures exists and to what extent, but also to propose economic repair or replacement. Historically, our initial visual damage assessments have been supported by inspection and testing, a testament to the value of experienced personnel.

From the initial visual assessment a scope of damage is developed and a “return to pre-incident condition” repair and/or replacement cost estimate is prepared, taking into consideration all anticipated refurbishment direct and indirect costs. The scope of damage is also used as the basis for a detailed restoration schedule to bring the plant back to the “as was” condition prior to the incident. Incident-related work is separated from concurrent maintenance and capital project work to create a realistic restoration schedule.

Once restoration has begun and claim items begin to be submitted, experienced personnel can identify and classify each as incident related or concurrent non-incident work.
